Just a few months after the release of her eighth single, the talented singer-songwriter Carla Strauss is back in the spotlight with a brand-new song that promises to capture the hearts and attention of listeners of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WHEN AUGUST COMES, an upbeat pop track co-produced with Ludwig Bouwer, offers an intimate look at her personal journey and the regret she feels about a time in her life when she wasn\u2019t true to herself and who she really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis song is the closest thing to a pop track in my repertoire,\u201d she shares. \u201cIt\u2019s about a time in my life when I tried to be someone else to be accepted, and how I now regret that phase. I changed myself to gain someone else\u2019s approval, but over time I realized that I never loved him \u2013 I just wanted to be like him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Symbolically, the title holds deep meaning for the singer. \u201cIt\u2019s a reference to the name of the person the song is about,\u201d Strauss explains. \u201cTo me, it feels very poetic, almost as if I\u2019m speaking directly to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WHEN AUGUST COMES follows the success of her previous release, More Than Myself, which was well-received and can still be heard on the radio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The musician believes that the emotions captured in her latest single will resonate with many people. \u201cI think the feelings I express in the song are very universal. I\u2019m sure everyone can relate to the feeling of changing yourself to be accepted.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carla made her debut at the age of 16 with Midnight Train and has since achieved numerous milestones. One of her popular tracks, Break my Bones, was even covered by a French artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was also part of the group One Voice, which released a successful album in 2019. In 2020, they collaborated on an anti-bullying song for the Child Protection Hotline, I Will, which Carla recorded and released in 2022 alongside Kalinka Kilian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, she is focusing full-time on her music, alongside her job as an office manager. A while ago, she left her au-pair position and moved in with her boyfriend. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m stepping into a new chapter of my life. It\u2019s exciting and a little scary, but I\u2019m looking forward to what\u2019s next,\u201d she shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This versatile artist is already working on her next song, which she plans to release early next year, and she continues to hone her musical skills while also caring for her bonsai trees \u2013 a new hobby she thoroughly enjoys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
